Nunkeeling House

Nunkeeling, East Riding of Yorkshire

1992 - 2004

Adjacent to the site of a 12th century priory this dwelling was built as a new farmhouse following a farmstead fire. The dwelling was made as an L plan allowing further expansion over 20 years in which a new garage and orangery have been added. Elements local to the farm were used in the building's construction particularly for the building's hexagonal porch which was constructed from defunct telegraph poles found on site. A panoramic lantern on the corner of the building enabled panoramic views of the farm landscape.
